At Early Scholars Academy, we believe that children are active learners. We provide hands-on developmentally appropriate programs that foster a child’s development in the areas of physical, social, emotional, cognitive, language, and spiritual growth. All teaching at Early Scholars is based on the following basic principles:

  • Children learn through active exploration. Our program provides an environment that encourages children to actively explore and manipulate materials.

  • Children initiate their own learning. Classroom environments at Early Scholars are carefully structured into activity centers. Children are encouraged to explore freely while supported and guided by teachers.

  • Learning comes from open-ended experiences. Children’s imaginations, reasoning skills, and self-confidence are developed by creative problem solving. The emphasis is on discovery and the learning process, not merely being “right”.

  • Adults are facilitators of children’s learning. Teachers ask questions and encourage discussion. Teachers are trained to create environments that make learning happen.

We urge you to schedule an appointment to visit the school and observe our classes in session. Plan to bring your child with you when you visit. We are open to visitors daily; however, we limit the number of tours on any one day.
