preventive maintenance program

 

A Preventive Maintenance Program is the key to successfully managing your fleet's operating performance.  And with On-Site Fleet Services by ROADRUNNER SERVICE POINT, we operate with the premise that breakdowns cost more than allowing the maintenance time to service the equipment properly.  Your trucks work hard and the best way to keep them available for the job everyday is prevention.

We initially collect specific vehicle information such as year, make, model, VIN, mileage, and engine.  Then we are ready to work with you to determine an appropriate service interval based on your vehicles, your operating conditions, and your company policy.  All information is logged and stored in your permanent files at our office.  Each time your vehicles are serviced, our records are updated to include date of service, mileage, technician name, and all performed services.  A copy of the inspection ticket is also left on-site with your management, and included are any notes on potential mechanical problems that were discovered during the standard mechanical inspection.  We are able to track when the next services are due and will notify you with a sufficient lead time to schedule the next service.  Complete service histories are also available upon request.

• Drain & Refill Crankcase (Replace Pan Plugs & Washers as Needed)

• Replace Oil Filter

• Replace Fuel Filters

• Replace Coolant Filters

• Check & Fill Clutch Master Cylinder

• Check & Fill Brake Master Cylinder

• Check & Fill Power Steering Reservoirs and/or Steering Gear Boxes

• Check Air Cleaner Elements and Cleaner Housings (Replace Dry-Type Filters as Needed)

• Check Radiator Coolant Level & Condition

• Test Antifreeze Protection (Add Water and/or Antifreeze as Needed)

• Perform DCA Test on Coolant System

• Service Batteries - Report Cable and Terminal Conditions

• Complete Chassis and Drive-Line Lubrication

• Check Transmission & Differential Oil Levels and Conditions (Report Seal & Gasket Leaks)

• Fill Transmission & Differential Oil to Required Levels with Required Oils

• Check for Damaged or Missing Breather Valves

• Complete Visual Mechanical Inspection of Vehicle (Items in Need of Repair are Noted in Detail)

• Copies of Inspection Reports Left On-Site With Management
